Cognavi India Private Limited (“Cognavi”), is a private limited company incorporated registered under the Companies Act, 2013. Cognavi provides services to its Users (as defined below) through its website www.cognavi.com, application and other online portals (collectively called “Website”).
Cognavi provides a platform connecting the students, recruiters/companies and universities, through its Website. Cognavi provides a marketplace to connect recruiters (to hire suitable talent), students (to find their dream jobs suited to their skill sets) and universities (to optimize their placement process).
Cognavi is committed to safeguarding your privacy and acknowledges the significance of preserving the privacy of each of its User visiting its Website. We hold your privacy in high regard and value the trust you place in us. Our commitment amongst other things includes being transparent about the data we collect from you, its usage, and the parties with whom it is shared. Your use of the Website or the Services (as defined in our Terms of Use) provided through the Website shall signify your acceptance of this Policy and your agreement to be legally bound and abide by the same. We are the recipient of your Personal Information and will use reasonable care to keep your Personal Information confidential. We will only use your Personal Information in a fair and reasonable manner. We undertake to use and process your Personal Information with integrity, accountability, fairness and transparency. Cognavi does not disclose, transfer or share your Personal Information with others except with/for :

  • our affiliates, group companies for legitimate business purposes and to the extent required for our internal business and/or administrative purposes and/or general corporate operations and for provision of services;
  • other Users on the Website to provide services on the platform/Website;
  • Cognavi will share the information of students (including their resumes) with the recruiters and will also share details of job posting posted by recruiters with the students; Cognavi may also provide access to student information to universities/colleges;
  • in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets or any other situation (including bankruptcy) involving the transfer of some or all of Cognavi’s business assets we may disclose Personal Information to those involved in the negotiation or transfer;
  • For security and legal compliance: (a) if such disclosure is permitted or required by law; (b) requested as a part of a judicial, governmental, or legal inquiry, order, or proceeding or reasonably necessary as part of a valid subpoena, warrant, or other legally-valid request; (c) reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other legal agreements; (d) required to detect/address fraud, abuse/misuse, potential violations of law (or rule or regulation), or security or technical issues; or reasonably necessary in our discretion to protect against imminent harm to the rights, property, or safety of Cognavi, our users, employees, members of the public, or our services; (e) We may also disclose data about you to our auditors and legal advisors in order to assess our disclosure obligations and rights under this Policy;
  • Third party service providers and marketing partners that Cognavi engages to a) provide services over the Platform on Cognavi’s behalf; b) maintain the Platform and mailing lists; or c) communicate with you on Cognavi’s behalf about offers relating to its products and/or services. These service providers may access your personal data and are required to use it solely as we direct, to provide our requested service. Cognavi will take reasonable steps to ensure that these third-party service providers are obligated to protect your Personal Information and are also subject to appropriate confidentiality / non-disclosure obligations

All payments for Services offered on the Website must be made through a secure payment platform. Please note that the payment gateway provided for your payment requirements on the Website is operated by a third party, and we do not have control over the same. We will take all reasonable measures to protect the Website and any unauthorized use of our Website, but we will not be liable for any damages or losses that may be caused due to factors beyond our reasonable control.

We may continue to retain your data in anonymised form for analytical and research purposes.

Cognavi shall not be liable for any loss or damage sustained by Users as a result of any disclosure (inadvertent or otherwise) of any information concerning the User's account, credit cards or debit cards in the course of any online transactions or payments made for any services offered through the Webiste.

In case any Personal Information is shared by you with Cognavi, which is not requested by Cognavi during registration, (whether mandatorily or optionally), Cognavi will not be liable for any information security breach or disclosure in relation to such information.

We assume no liability or responsibility for the disclosure of your Personal Information due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third-party access, or other causes beyond our control. You play an important role in keeping your Personal Information secure. You should not share your username, password, or other security information for your account with anyone.
